Suggest Treatment For Severe Triple Vessel Disease

default
Posted on Tue, 16 Feb 2016
Question: I had been diagnosed with severe triple vessel disease, with 75% occlusion of the LAD and 50 -75 % blocks of two other arteries. This was in XXXXXXX 2014. The cardiologists suggested triple bypass. However,I went under the care of another doctor, who managed my condition with a combination of chelation, some drugs and supplementation. It has been over a year and I feel great, excellent exercise tolerance,no breathlessness or angina or any other issues. I would like to find out how my plaque progression has been but my doctor says that barring another angio, there is no other objective way to check. Is there any non invasive test I can do besides an angio to get a better picture? Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Angio is the way to go!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this triple artery disease which you have reported. I am happy to know you are doing great with no symptoms. Your best and standard treatment would have been the bypass but if you denied that, it is your right and no one else will go against your wish. The best way to evaluate plaque progression is angio. All others are obsolete and not being used. Also, to evaluate progression, it is important we employ the same test and techniques to allow for comparability. Beside that, there are no other impressive ways to do this.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Above all, thanks for using our services.
