Question: my 14 year old daughter started vomiting around noon today, and has been vomiting every hour since then. She is sensitive to light, has sore wrists, and headache. I think this may be a migraine, but i don't know what to do for her?

Brief Answer:
Needs immediate medical attention. Do not ignore.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. Although migraine is indeed a possibility, causes that could lead to rise in intracranial tension (pressure inside the head) could give rise to similar presentations and that could be serious. Especially, the sensitivity to light concerns me. Hence I would insist you to visit the ER without delay. Based on the findings, the doctor could insist on getting a CT scan of brain done.

Feel free to write back.

Regards
