Question : About 10 days ago I had a head cold with fever and cough. My cold is gone, but I have lots of wheezing and a very deep cough. My question is should I be concerned about this and should I go to see the Dr. ?

yes, this would be best

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Yes, if you are wheezing , then you should be seen.

Wheezing implies that there is at least partial closure of the airways and this needs to be reversed with medication to open the airways and reduce inflammation.

Treatment may involve : (1) use of meds to open airways such as salbutamol if airway closure is confirmed
(2)inhaled and oral steroids
(3)medication to help break up the mucus (mucolytics), if there is a wet cough. This helps get rid of the mucus easier
(4)antibiotics can sometimes be needed as well

The use of fluids would also help, fluids help to break up the thickness of the mucus so that it can be expelled easier

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

Thank you! I had pneumonia in March of this year and I actually feel the same way that I did then. Do you think it could possibly be pneumonia?
