Thanks for writing to Health Care Magic, I am Dr Muhammd Ahmad, I have closely read your question and I understand your concerns, I will hereby guide you regarding your health related problem.

Most of the times itching is usually caused by some sort of allergic cause, so when ever a patient complains of itching and there is no evident cause..like jaindice or a rash then the doctor prescribes an anti allergic med to control the allergic itch if thay works for you only preventing the allergy will be needed.

If that doesnt then your doctor will look into other possible causes of itching. I would suggest you not to panic and start using the med , it can cause you feel a bit sleepy otherwise it shouldnt be causing any problems ..I would preferably suggest my patients to take it in night to avoid sedation.Hopefully it will help you.
