Brief Answer:
X ray examinaion should be done to rule out any problems.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM

I have gone through your query. Pleurisy is the most common cause of pain while deep breathing. Other causes like pneumothorax , tuberculosis , cardiac problems like pericarditis etc also can cause this. A lung auscultation by your physician and X ray chest is well appreciated. Blood routine also should be done to find out signs of inflammation. ECG should be done to rule out cardiac cause of it to be on safe side.

The most common cause pleurisy can be due to inflammation or infection. Viral infection can cause that also. Treatment is directed towards the cause.

Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.
