default
Posted on Tue, 14 Feb 2017
Question: I have sharp pain on and off in my lower left abdomen. The pain is starting to jump towards my back, same area. This same thing happened about 2.5 - 3 years ago, whereas I had an very inflamed gallbladder removed. I am a 57 year old female, eating healthy, 130 lbs.
This pain started 3 days ago. I'm not constipated.

Brief Answer:
Could be due to colonic, ovarian cause or due to UTI

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concern. I understand that you feel that you do not have constipation but pain the mentioned area could either by constipation, colonic pathology or ovarian causes (since these are the structures present there). Pain from urinary tract infection (UTI) could also be referred there. So, a clinical evaluation backed with suitable investigations is important.

The first step can be to get a urine microscopy and culture done.

Let me know if I could help further.

Regards
