Brief Answer:
need exam

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question.
The nerves in the ear go up into the brain so it is not surprising that a pain originating in the ear could shoot up to the brain.
However you need to know the cause. It could be something simple like hard wax in the canal or something more serious like something from the inner ear.
The only way to determine the cause is to see your doctor.
If the cause is not found on a regular ear exam by your doctor then you may need a referral to an ENT specialist.
Try some warm compresses (washcloth soaked in warm water) to the ear and see your doctor right away.
