Suggest Treatment For Sharp Radiating Chest Pain Along With Sweating And Tingling Sensation
Question: I have a history of anxiety but have only had one panic attack that I can remember and this feels different. I've been having chest pains this weekend. Not steadily, but off and on, like a stinging, sharp pain that lasts a minute or so and goes away. But it comes back every few minutes. It sometimes goes into my arm and I've noticed my fingers are tingling at times. Also, I get very overheated and sweaty, especiallly my head. and my left ear keeps randomly feels like it is plugged, like i can not hear out of it for about 30 seconds to a minute every once in a while. I hate to go into the doctor and have him say it is anxiety again. That is embarassing. But just in case, I took a xanax, which i rarely do, and slept from 6 am until 5 pm yesterday. These are all very strange for me. I do have a patch in my heart from a PFO closure.

You are having symptoms of sharp radiating chest pains, sweating and tingling.
The symptoms of anxiety and cardiac disease are very similar. You have had anxiety and panic attack in past. There are high chances that this could be due to anxiety.
But since you have also had cardiac issues, I think an ECG to evaluate cardiac status should be done.
Xanax is making you sleep all day.
Another drug which helps in anxiety symptoms is low doses of Inderal (prescription drug).
Other than this, you can try slow and deep to reduce the intensity of symptoms.
