Nerve pain related to shingles usually occur on an area affected first by shingles.
Pain similar to yours may also be caused by pinched nerve at the cervical spine by degerative spine disease, herniated disc etc.
It may persist for months to even years after shingles outbreak.
Treatment consists on antineuralgic drugs use such as Gabapentin, Duloxetine, Tramadol etc.
