Many things can present with sharp pain on left side.Common causes are kidney stone, colitis , ovarian cyst, ovarian torsion, intestinal stricture/obstruction.

Ideal step in all such pains is to get clinical evaluation and ultrasound done.

Most such pains need early care before there are complications.So see doctor sooner.
