Question: I have herniated. Neck and my head is tilted to the right onthe atlas bone. I get relief from a c specialist but my neck will not stay properly aligned without the minor ajustment. At times I experience shooting electrical like pain from bsthind right ear that radiates thrust my tongue. It feels like an explosion. Is this a brain thing or a neck thing?

Brief Answer:
Needs to be reviewed by a neurologist and ENT surgeon

Detailed Answer:
Hi there, welcome to HCM.Thanks for your question.

It is unlikely that your ear pain and pain radiating to base of your tongue is related to your neck(herniated disc or Atlanto axial joint).I would suggest you to be personally be seen by a ENT doctor (head and neck surgeon)and by a neurologist. As your symptoms suggest involvement of your ear or tongue or base of your brain.

Hope this answers your question.

All the best.With regards.
