peak levels occur by 1 1/2 hours to 4 hours
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
The level of bystolic peaks 1 1/2 hours to 4 hours after it has been used. This means that they level would be highest in your body around that time though it would start to work before that time.
The normal heart rate is 60 to 100, one of the actions of bystolic includes reducing the heart rate, it should push your heart rate towards normal.
Treating any causes of an increased pulse would help eg:(1) any pain or fever (with paracetamol or ibuprofen),
(2) stress (relaxation techniques),
(3)dehydration (fluid replacement)
At the moment though your blood pressure is higher than would be preferred, it is not likely to cause any acute/immediate danger.
If the pulse rate does not return to the normal range or you feel very unwell then you should see your doctor for assessment
In addition to examination, blood tests such as complete blood count and thyroid function tests, would need to be done.
The complete blood count would assess for anemia and the thyroid function test would check to see if this hormone is high
Anemia and high thyroid hormones can both cause increased heart rate
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
