Question : I am a 57 yr old male who has consumed 3-4 drinks daily for 30+ yrs. When I drink Mikes hard lemonade I suffered sever shortness of breath (3) times. I have not had any symptoms with other alcohol. Could I be allergic or?

Thanks for your question.

Yes, you might be allergic to lemonade. Especially with the preservatives, used in it. And it can give you symptoms of breathlessness.

I advice you to consult a pulmonologist and get done CBC (Complete Blood Count) and PFT (PULMONARY FUNCTION TEST).

If in CBC, you have higher eosinophil count and in PFT you have Obstructive pattern then possibility of allergy is high.

So consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.
