Question : My 14 yr old daughter has taken only 2 of her 14 doses of amoxicillin, the last one being yesterday morning. She had a reaction where her hands and feet are red and swollen. Will that subside on its own and how long will it take?
Brief Answer:
few days
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome. Most allergic reactions subside within 2 days after last antibiotic intake. There is no need to be concerned, unless there are breathing difficulties or spreading of redness. In these cases you should see doctor. Otherwise, you should wait for 1-2 more days and see what happens. Wish you good health. Regards
