Question : I am using estrace cream and am having burning irritatation and slight spotting. Should I use Monistat as a treatment. I know these symptoms are common side effects of the cream.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
If once a week then you are using it in low dosage. Itching and inflammation is due to atrophic vaginitis.
You may use MONISTAT cream for local application but unless there is a fungal infection it would not work. You may take CAP DOXYCYCLINE 100mg once a day for next 3 days along with TAB METROGYL twice a day for 3 days. This shall control the infective cause as well.
