Suggest Treatment For Side Effects Of Ketoconazole

Question: I was prescribed ketoconazole 200mg tablets ix per day for 10 days. the side effects of this drug seem to be quite dangerous. I was told I have a heavy over growth of yeast on my lips. I was also prescribed nystatin ointment 15gm applied to my lips 2x per day. I'm worried about the ketoconazole. I have had extra heartbeats after a loss of electrolites. My heart beat is okay now.

Ketoconazole like many other drugs has potential side effects but I will not term this as the most disturbing medication ever. I will suggest that you tell me what you experienced that might be likened to this drug for thorough review and advice. If the irregular heartbeats were clearly established to be caused by loss of electrolytes, then it is probably not caused by this drug.
