Question : Hello. I used to be onb1000mg of depakote plus 100mg of Lamictal. Now I just take the Lamictal. Even when I was in all of the above I have never had burning or tingling in my fingers. This just started recently and is quite uncomfortable. What might it be?

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Lamictal use may result in adverse effects such paresthesias, so, this is the most likely cause of your new symptoms.

I suggest you to discuss with your Doctor about lowering the dose of Lamictal for a couple of weeks to see how this will affect burning and tingling in fingers.

If no improvement after a couple of weeks, peripheral neuropathy should be considered.
