Question: I am having an allergic reaction to morphine, pill, prescribed for pain. I have taken antihistamine to halt reaction. How long until it subsides?

Hi and welcome.

It depends on type of reaction. Breathing difficulties should subside right after antihistamine intake. Rash and itchiness should subside in next few hours. If not,then you may need corticosteroid therapy or this wasn't allergic reaction at all so you should see doctor in this case.
