Question : My blood sugar is normally around 137-150 and was labeled as pred. Got it down to around 115-125. I went to the doctor because i had and infection on my thigh and he prescribed me prednisone 10 mg. He did state that this would make my suger go up. But would go back to normal about two week of completing the meds. 5 day left and all of i sutton i felt dizzy, sweaty and tired. Laid down for a hour or so but wakeup still feeling a bit dizzy and thirsty. So i tested my sugar and it read 367. What should I do...i am feeling better after i walked around for about 30 min...

Brief Answer:
PREDNISONE INDUCED HIGH SUGARS

Detailed Answer:
Good day.
Noted your concern.
The blood glucose of 130 to 150 which you mentioned, was it in fasting? Have you ever had an Hba1c done?

In the current situation when you are using prednisone, it's best to start on a basal insulin in the morning. Other option is to start a small dose of Diamicron in the morning.
Discuss both these options with your doctor. You may be able to stop these medicines after the prednisone is stopped.

yes just had a1c results and it was at 7.1 i ask my doctor to give me 60 to see if i can get it back down. he agreed but had a thorn prick my thigh and it got infected hence the prescription of the prednisone and clobetasol propuonate cream 0.05% to clear up the scare which is almost gone.
