Suggest Treatment For Sinus, Cold And Throat Infection

Question : Any time I get a sinus infection, cold or throat infection I snore!! I can usually get relief from stuffy nose, but my throat feels funky at those times and then I snore. How to treat a flappy palate?

Thanks for the query.

I have read your query , reviewed your medications and understand your concern.

As per your clinical history it appears that you are most probably having Chronic Allergic Rhino-sinusitis with post nasal drip (PND) with obstructive snoring .

I would advice , investigation like sleep endoscopy , CT Scan Nose with sinuses & thyroid profile to know exact site , cause & associated condition for snoring . If on investigations snoring is due to flappy palate then palatal surgery for obstructive snoring can be done .

Till then , I would advice during infection use
Salt water gargle twice daily ,
Steam Inhalation twice daily,
Saline nasal rinse or spray thrice daily ,
Weight reduction exercise &
continue Allegra & mucinex .

You will get relief .
