Question : I am having sinus drainage. and from the best I can see (with flashlight lol) I have one white/yellowish small spot on each tonsil. I noticed them yesterday. I have 9 keflex pills. Would that help me? I don't have insurance so I can't go to a doctor unless its a actual emergency Would those 9 keflex be enough and can I take thera flu at same time as kflex (it's hot and seems to help soothe the throat)

It might be post nasal drip secondary to tonsillitis

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

You are having post nasal drips secondary to tonsillitis or pharyngitis (sore throat).
Nothing much to worry and it will respond well to antibiotics.
You can start on kefelx(cephalexin) twice a day for four to five days.
Do warm saline gargles and take analgesics like acetaminophen in case of pain.
Most probably the symptoms and signs will settle in four to five days. If symptoms persist even after taking antibiotics, you can consult an ENT specialist and get evaluated.
