Question : I have a sinus drainage problem and constant sinus problems after flying.

Lots of mucous on throat during the night with a constant nasal drip.

Tonight I was having some difficulty breathing and breathing heavy. I am also finding reduced tolerance of exercise on the treadmill during periods of sinus infections.

I have been to see ENT's who recommend an operation to fix septum and open constricted airways.

What medications can I use to assist - my ears are constantly blocked as well

Brief Answer:
Sinusitis with Eustachian tube blockage

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HealthcareMagic and thanks for the query,

Eustachian tube blockage is due to chronic sinusitis only.

take a nasal spray like fluticasone twice daily and tablet levocetirizine plus phenylephrine combination twice daily for a week.
Take steam inhalation and chew a gum that will also help decongest the tube.
Send me your CT SCAN so that I can suggest you better.

All the medicines I have prescribed will be available at prescription only.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Thanks and regards
