Brief Answer:
Why think of allergy? Please provide some more information

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using HCM to post your health query.
I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.

The symptoms you have described are not typical of an allergy.
It will depend though on the total information that you may give to me.

Can you please kindly let me know if:
-- When have all these symptoms started? Did they start all at the same time?
-- Any fever? Runny nose?
-- What do you mean with clogged air?
-- How much it is your heart rate? For how long has it been fast? Any other symptom you have?
-- Are you allergic of anything in particular that you may have taken today? Why are you thinking of allergy?

I would like to give accurate advice and help you as much as possible. So please kindly provide these information and I will be happy to answer.

Regards,
Dr. Papaqako

I have terrible hayfever and the weather has changes seem to make my allergies flare up. I was in a church with a lot of flowers and immediately felt stuffed up nasal congestion and clogged ears. The hear rate was fast when I was around the flowers.

Brief Answer:
Keep the sinus drained if possible.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for the explanation provided.

From the information I have it seems like you may have a sinus infection since the predisposition it is to all people who have hay fever and respiratory allergies.
Doing nose lavage with saline water 2-3 times day its recommended so the sinuses will remain drained.
If you have symptoms of blocked nose with green-yellow discharge, face tenderness over the sinuses, fever for more then 10 days of not getting better, this will be the time to consider taking an antibiotic.

The reaction you had while you were in contact with the flowers its not an allergy in itself then it is an anxiety reaction to the fear that you may start developing symptoms of allergy. If it has happened only then, then its nothing to worry about. But if it happens while you have no contact with flower and you feel the heart rate more then 100/minute, then you should consider seeing a cardiologist.

Continue using regularly your medication against allergy.

Hope this is helpful.
