Suggest Treatment For Sinusitis

Question: I have had mu sinuses completely plug up since last Tuesday i have used stahist ad, a neti pot when my sinuses would open to use it and the only thing that opens me up is afrin spray. I started using it 3 days ago. Instructions say 2-3 squirts in each nostril i have been doing one every 6+ hours afraid i maybe overusing it. The congestion is causing me to have panic attacks, but only when im completely plugged.

Detailed Answer:
Hello

The best dosage of the afrin spray would be 2-3 pufs twice a day and at the maximum thrice a day. Please do not use it more than that

From your medication history it looks like that you have already used most of the medications which we will normally prescribe a patient with sinusitis.

I would like you to continue those and steam inhalation.

In addition I would normally also start my patients on a short course of antibiotics and oral steroids as this will help reduce the infection and the congestion and give quicker relief.

You will need to meet your doctor for the prescription.
