Detailed Answer:
Hello again.
Based on the information you described.
The lesion should be kept dry and clean. It should not be wrapped in a tissue. Topical antiseptic like povidone should be applied thrice a day. It should only be used for cleaning the area and should not be left for prolonged contact as antiseptics applied in such a way delay wound healing.
Triple antibiotic ointments like Neosporin commonly available as part of first aid kits should be used topically on the lesion.
If the healing doesn't occur in the next 5 days with topical medication or there is no improvement within 3 days then systemic antibiotics would be required and further testing for other causes in light of the physical exam would be necessary.
Wishing you best of health
Thanks
