Suggest Treatment For Skin Abrasion

Question : I tore some skin off my arm just below the elbow while cleaning up some bamboo in a clump in the backyard. I have put triple antibody and a big square bandaid on it . The missing skin is about 11/2 inches diameter . After 2 days now the bleeding has stopped completely and there is no swelling. I am 75 years old so I do have thin and bruised skin and there is evidence of some of that. Should I do more than bandage with triple anti ?

Brief Answer: Would like to view the picture of the abraded area Detailed Answer: Hi, Skin abrasion even when they are large generally heal very well. Presence of diabetes or other immunocompromised state delays healing. It would be extremely helpful if you can post a picture of the affected area on this page. I shall look at it and comment on its progress and the way to handle it. Awaiting your response.... PS: You mentioned that you have prostate cancer in the past. Is it treated already or are you on treatment?
