Suggest Treatment For Skin Tags And Increase In Weight

Question: I got skin tags and the number is increasing since last year. There has been an increase in my weight as well since last one year, is this could be one of the reason? I am afraid because of the increase in number. Also, these are mainly on neck and underarms. Is this something serious?

Skin tags are themselves not a serious issue; no more than just being a cosmetic concern for most. Being overweight/ weight gain and associated insulin resistance are the driving factors behind skin tag formation.

Skin tags can be easily removed with the help of either radiofrequency cautery Or Electrocautery Or CO2 Laser under local anesthesia.
Results are very gratifying. I suggest that you talk to a dermatologist in your vicinity for the needful.

Lifestyle measures aimed at weight control/ reduction would help prevent new ones from forming.
