Question : My head feels like there is a bowling ball inside my head. This has been going on for a long time. It affects my balance and sometimes I feel a little drunk even though I don't drink. I take blood pressure pills and two kinds of diabetes pills for type two diabetes. I also use a c-pap machine at night for sleep apnea. This is driving me nuts and makes me want to stay sitting down as I feel better when sitting.

The possibilities are
1. Postural hypotension: this can happen as a complication of diabetes or due to blood pressure pills

2. Problems in balance system: This could be due to problems in middle ear, 8th nerve or other central problems.

I nutshell, you need a proper neurological examination including examination for assessing 8th nerve. You may also require an audiogram and head scans. Sitting and lying down blood pressure is another thing to measure. Please meet an endocrinologist /neurologist.
