Question: Good morning Dr,My new born male baby is of 10 days of age .He is born on 6/1/16 via C_section and he doesn't sleep at all.He hardly sleep in morning and night.[Total 2_3 hrs].But all other activities like sucking,crying normal.Sometimes he crys at night until he get the fed.la anything to worry about the sleep??

Hi. This is a normal phenomenon for some babies.... Don't worry.

When in mother's womb it is completely dark, so it takes them some time to get accustomed to the day night difference. After birth they need to adjust for this difference of day and night. It will take some time in some babies. Usually 6 weeks to 6 months rarely in some babies.
