Suggest Treatment For Slight Sinus Drainage

default
Posted on Mon, 7 Aug 2017
Question: I have had slight sinus drainage, sneezing fits, occasional coughing up of mucous and behind the eyes aching since the end of March. No fever. When it began there was a lot of tree pollen and others were having the same symptoms. I am using an over the counter decongestant that helps. What can I do now to get rid of this?

Brief Answer:
Better to start Montelukast.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on HealthcareMagic.
I can understand your concern.

By your history and description, the possibility of allergic disease is more.

So I'd suggest taking a combination of antihistamine (Levocetirizine or Fexofenadine) and anti allergic (Montelukast).

Also, do warm water gargles and steam inhalation 4-5 times a day.

Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.

Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further.

Wish you good health.
Thanks.

Do you write prescription or are these over the counter?
