Suggest Treatment For Slightly Elevated Platelet Count

default
Posted on Thu, 7 May 2015
Question: My recent blood test showed a platelet count of 395,000. I know that the upper limit of normal is 400,000. Because my number is near the upper limit, should I be concerned? Is there anything I should be doing to make my blood "healthier"

Brief Answer:
nothing to worry

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for posting.

This is is quite normal. Some labs have upper limit of 450000 also. If I were you, I would not worry about this.

Even if it is a bit high it won't cause any problems. Hence I think your blood is already healthy.

Hope this helps.
Regards
