Question : Hi Doctor,
It has been three months since my wife delivered our child. A small lump is formed in her left breast upper quadrant. It is not visible. She did not observe it before the delivery, she observed it a month after delivery, it has not gone since then, it might have formed after delivery. We consulted a doctor regarding that. The doctor said that it could be because of milk accumulation, asked us to wait for couple of months for it to disappear. She suggested us to consult a surgeon if it does not disappear even after couple of months.
I’ve attached the doctor checkup form here. What do you suggest us to do?
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Accumulated milk or fibroadenoma
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
I have reviewed the check up form.
The lump in the breast seems to be the accumulated milk, however exact diagnosis can be made by ultrasound of the breast.
It can be a fibroadenoma also, which is a benign lump of the breast.
She should get a ultrasound done and further management should be done accordingly.
Both the milk accumulation and fibroadenoma resolve spontaneously.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

Should we get the ultrasound done as soon as possible or do you suggest us to wait for some time (if we wait, for how many months we can see if it goes itself)?
She used 10 seradic tablets prescribed a doctor for this.
She does not feel any pain, even if pressed. The lump is small, sometimes it is difficult find it.
If we have to consult a doctor, we need to consult a gynecologist or a surgeon?
She took epidural while delivery. She delivered the baby normally with induced pains. She getting pain at epidural sometimes, when she bends sideways. Also sometimes she is getting back pain and getting waist pain if she sits for longer duration.
Her belly became darker and big after delivery. Can you please suggest her anything to get back to the pre pregnancy stage?
Thank you doctor for the reply.

Brief Answer:
Can wait for 2 months
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
She can wait for 2 months before getting the ultrasound done.
Pain at the epidural site is common upto 6 months after the delivery.
The pigmentation of the abdomen will gradually go away with time.
She should do slight exercises and walking to reduce the belly fat.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
