Brief Answer:
Please consult doctor for any infection or inflammation in your throat

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Sorry to hear about your discomfort and hope you are back to good health soon.

As I can see, you have not consulted any doctor for your problems. There is a rare possibility of the fish bone getting impacted in the soft tissues of throat. This can cause what is known medically as retropharyngeal abscess as a result of infection.

I suggest you consult your doctor and get an X ray including soft tissues of neck (lateral view) and this can help to know if there is a fish bone in your throat or if there is a possibility of infection in the retropharyngeal region.

Your doctor might also examine your throat directly to see for signs of inflammation causing your pain and discomfort.

If a fish bone is found then attempts can be made to dislodge and remove it safely. Any inflammation and infection is treated with a short course of antibiotics.

Please drink adequate amounts of fluids and eat soft diet even if you experience difficulty in swallowing.

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek
