Question : My back is sore and I have mucus in my throat and a cough. A few years ago my back felt the same way and I landed in the hospital with triple pneumonia. Just need to know if I should go to the ER and get an xray of my lungs.

It could be Upper respiratory tract infection.

Hi
As per your description, it looks like Upper respiratory tract infection.
Pnuemonia Is lower respiratory tract infection.
I prescribe Antibiotic like Azithromycin/Amoxycillin, anti inflammatory tablet, anti tussive tablet to my patients with similar complaints.
If the sputum is more,please consult your doctor and get an X ray chest.
The anti inflammatory tablet will cure the back sore also.
