Question : Hi, I had a small foot particle ( crumbs from a salad croton)that got into my ear and went into my eardrum after a innocent, playful food fight. Later that day and the next evening my ear was sore and felt possibly infected. What can I do for it to heal?

Brief Answer: Remove the food particle.Antibiotic drops Detailed Answer: Hi.Thanks for writing on HCM. Since the ear is sore I were to examine to ear with otoscope and give a wash with normal saline to remove any food particles.This technique helps to drain the particles with ease and is very safe. Post which treat with antibiotic eardrops and analgesics for 3 to 5 days. Hope this answers your query.
