Question: I have a red sore in my right thumb just underneath the first joint. It is getting worse there are severa little puss sores.

Hello, Thank you for posting your question on HealthcareMagic.
The symptoms you are describing looks like you have an infected joint.To know if the infection is only on the skin or has spread to the joint I would recommend you to get an x ray of the hand AP and lateral view.
For the treatment of the present infection instead of neosporin Natifloxacin ointment is highly recommended.
Also got formentation 3 to 4 times a day will help.
It would also be more helpful if you could upload a picture of the lesion.
