I am so sorry to hear about this sore throat and cough that you have mentioned. The most common causes of these symptoms are an upper respiratory tract infection caused by a virus. This is usually treated by resting, Tylenol and moderate physical exercise alongside a good diet. Antibiotics are generally not requires at this time as viruses are the primary cause.

For now, I will recommend Tylenol. Take 1000mg at most 3times in a day. if any new symptoms like fever, breathing difficulties or chest pain comes up, please report to me of further review and recommendations.
