Posted on Thu, 5 Mar 2015
Question: I am having sore throat, dry cough for past two-three weeks. Was advised Tab pecef duo 200 twice a day and Sinarest thrice a day, both for 5 days. There was some relief initially but pain in throat returned after two days of completion of above course. There is very little phelgm, that too only early morning when I wake up. Should I continue having Sinarest? I am male, age is 50, height 5'10", weight 71 Kg

Brief Answer:
Continue sinarest and go for throat swab culture and antibiotic sensitivity

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,
I have gone through your query; it suggests that you may be suffering from the pharyngitis.

You may continue the sinarest but for better antibiotic choice you may go for the throat swab culture and antibiotic sensitivity.

I also advised to take steam inhalation and Hexidine mouth gargles.

Thanks
