1. A sore throat and green mucus signifies that your immune system is reacting to some irritation, inflammation or infection.

2. If there is no fever or throat congestion, antibiotics are not indicated at present.

3. Medication such as an anti-allergic, a mucolytic, steam inhalation and a medicated oral rinse should be started.

4. You can get the mucus examined. Take a bland diet and warm fluids.
