
Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And Increased Saliva Production

Question : have had a very sore throat (more gland like pain as opposed to cold).noticed an increase in saliva production and last two nights unable to get past 1st mouthful of dinner,as though throat constricting?

Thanks for posting the query
After going through the history, I do feel, you could be suffering from Acute tonsillo-pharyngitis.
You may require require broad spectrum antibiotics for the treatment of the same. Also, an oral anti-inflammatory medicine such as ibuprofen or diclofenac sodium will help in reducing the pain as well as swelling in the oral cavity.
Drink plenty of warm water to reduce the pain and swelling. Avoid coffee/chilled food and beverages/fizzy drinks/smoking (if any).
