Brief Answer:
Information about these symptoms

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,

With these symptoms, the only way to know what is going on is to take her in to a doctor who can look in her throat and ears.

If she swims, she may have swimmer's ear which is an infection of the ear canal (Otitis Externa). Treatment for this is antibiotic ear drops, sometimes combined with a steroid medication in the drops if there is a lot of inflammation in there.

However, given that she also has a sore throat, this could be an upper respiratory infection - either viral (most likely, in which case an antibiotic will not help), or bacterial (strep - which can be diagnosed via a throat swab).

If there is an infection in the throat or sinuses, or allergies, it can cause eye mucus and ear symptoms too. If there are secretions draining down the back of her throat, this can cause a non-infectious ear problem where there are pressure problems in the eustachian tube (which connects the throat with the ear) and sometimes a clear fluid can back up behind the ear drums. This can cause ear symptoms. The ear symptoms usually resolve with the resolution of throat drainage (or within a week or so after). Treatment can include a steroid nasal spray, and decongestant. If the ear symptoms are secondary to a bacterial infection, then oral antibiotics will treat it.

But the only way to know what is going on is to have her examined.

I hope this information helps. Please let me know if I can provide further information.
