Brief Answer:
Provide additional information, salt water gargaling, lozenges, throat swab

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome.
I have gone through your query.
I would like to know few more information
1. Is there any visible lesions on the tongue?
2. Is there white coating of the tongue?
3. Any dental infection?
4. Any stress?
5. Have you suffered from any illness recently?

It would be better if you can upload the pictures of the tongue for better assessment and to provide you with specific advice.

For sore throat, I would suggest to do warm salt water gargaling 3 to 4 times a day, drink plenty of water, especially warm water. Suck lozenges like strepsil or cofsil few times a day. To XXXXXXX warm milk add a spoon of turmeric powder, mix and drink.

It seems the examining doctor had a probability of oral candidiasis and given you anti yeast medicine. If that was not successful further investigations are needed like throat swab.
