Question : I can hardly swallow. My throat is so sore and my glands are swollen. Doing Z pack, but not helping. Also, between Z pack pills, taking 2 extra strength Tylenol, but still can hardly swallow. What next?

Brief Answer:
DISPRIN gargles

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for query here.

I suggest you to use DISPRIN (dispersible aspirin) gargles, if not allergic to, at least three times a day to ease the swollen and painful glands.
POVIDONE IODINE mouth gargles are also useful.
Suck on ice popsicles so that the swelling reduces, some prefer warm lemon/ginger tea.. The more hydration the quicker you relieve from the pain.
Z pack seems to be an antibiotic you can continue on it. Tylenol is not a great help in this situation. I prefer NSAIDs if taken orally like MOTRIN.

Hope this addresses the issue.
