Hi Doctor.
I have a sore throat and I am concerned. 02 is 97, pulse is 110, no fever. I am concerned that it might lead to a relapse. I have zithromiosine antibiotics that I started. Am I doing the right thing? What do you suggest?

I can understand your concern.

Sorry to say but I am not sure what does zithromiosine contain. If it has azithromycin then you are taking correct drug.
Along with this drug, also do warm water gargles 5-6 times a day. Drink plenty of fluids orally and keep yourself hydrated. Avoid oily, spicy and hard to chew food.

It is Azithromycin tablets 250 mg. I will follow with the warm water gargles and drink plenty of fluids.

So 250 mg of azithromycin would be under dosing.
You should take 500 mg azithromycin for therapeutic effect.
You can take 2 tablets of 250 mg together once a day if you don't have 500 mg tablet.

I am so sorry for late reply as I was very busy with work schedule.
I have gone through both x ray reports.
Earlier one showed moderate cardiomegaly and recent one showed marked cardiomegaly.
So it is of great help if you can show me x ray films.
Will you able to get x ray films?

Is cardiomegaly an enlarged heart? I had a electrocardiogram done and all was normal. I have also been taking water pills. I don't think there is a way for me to get the x ray's I will try though.

I also have venus insufficiency on the bottom of my right leg that has improved tremendously with walking and water pills. I think water pills have been the key for me. I don't have high blood pressure. In fact it is normal.

It is better to get done 2d echo.
I think you are having poor heart functions and this is the reason for your water pills.

Well, chest x ray is just a screening test for lungs.
Normal chest x ray can not rule out lung diseases 100 percent.
PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) and CT scan are needed to rule out lung pathology.
So please let me know if you had these tests done or not. And what about 2d echo?

I have not had the PFT test or CT scan yet. I have to see a Pulmonologist in person to get these tests done. I may be going to see one tomorrow.

Yes, you should definitely consult pulmonologist and discuss about PFT and CT thorax.
Since you are having enlarged heart, 2d echo must be done first.
