It may be local mild infection or may possibly be some mechanical or heat injury whlile eating some thing , which you could not notice at that time.
Antiseptic gargle and tablet ibuprofen should help you.
Avoid eating hot and hard items for time being.
Keep an eye on progess of it. If it does not show improvement in 24 to 48 hours an antibiotic needs to be added.
