Posted on Thu, 26 Feb 2015
Question: Yesterday I was taking my laptop out of the case and I hit the right side of my jaw with the laptop. There is no swelling but it is a little sore when I touch it. Today I took it out again and it hit my knee slightly. Do you see any problem happening to my jaw or knee?

Brief Answer:
There is no reason to be worried unless you are in severe pains.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

Bones are tough and cannot be easily injured by mere trauma from a computer. There is no reason to get worried at this time and more so because there is no severe pain symptoms that you have reported. Beyond the mild pain, all is well and all would soon be okay again.

In all, doo not get worried. If any pains, take Tylenol and all would be okay.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

I was going into the kitchen and my dog was in there. My husband put a wooden dog gate across the opening and he put it high so i had to raise my leg and go over the gate. As I was doing that I hit my knee. It is a regular light wood gate. Could the gate have injured my knee?

Brief Answer:
NO

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

It requires much force to injure the knee. Unless you are in severe pains and unable to bear weight on this knee there is nothing you should be concerned about right now.

I wish you well and next time, be cautious as you walk your way.
