Question : My puppy about 45 lbs and very excitable! I was tossing a ball to her last week...she lunged forward as I was about to toss it so I caught her front legs across my. Shoulder blades as my arm moved forward. This happened last week and iI am so sore and when I go to bed my hands cramps up...right one much worse. I have been doing ice and heat and taking advil. Any ideas as to what else I could do?. I am a 71year old tough broad. I am going to try sitting up to sleep to see if the hands don't get so cramped & hurtfull

Hello,
I have studied your case and I think you are having back muscle spasm. This is causing pain on movements. Also, you are making mistake by doing both hot and cold applications. You need to apply hot fomentation only. I have following suggestions for you.
1.Take hot fomentation in the back and apply volitran ointment.
2. Muscle relaxant like Myospaz or myoril or Cyclobenzopyrin is taken for muscle relaxation.
3. Avoid forward bending and twisting movements.
