Brief Answer:
Viractin or Zilactin-L

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Biaxin should not be the cause for it.
If it is confirmed to be canker sore you can just apply Viractin or Zilactin-L which are available as over the counter medicines. They help to relieve the pain.
If there is active herpes then zovirax ointment is helpful, this is anti herpes medication.
I think you should just try Viractin or zilactin L first and you do not need prescription for this.

All the best.
