Brief Answer:
topical steroid and oral anti histamine

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The rash that occurs as a result of insect stings is normally due to the body's inflammatory reaction.

This means that the treatment with anti inflammatory agents would be the best option.

This would include the use of: (1) a mild steroid cream such as hydrocortisone which is available over the counter.
It is applied twice daily

(2)oral anti histamines.
Even if the rash is not presently itching, the use of an oral anti histamine would still help to reduce the inflammatory response.
Examples are benadryl,zyrtec, claritine, allegra

These are also over the counter.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
