Question : Sporadic debilitating weakness starts with frequent urination ( every 10 minutes for 45 minutes then tapers off to every 30 and gradually down to normal after 3 or 4 hours. Elevated blood pressure 180/161's then gradually decreasing to 150/120"s range and eventually after 24 hrs fairly normal 120/90's Usually then 2 or 3 days will be weak but at least able to accomplish easy tasks. Then out of nowhere it strikes again. Have frequented ER and primary care doc. Lab tests good. Any suggestions will sure be appreciated.

Thanks for your reply. Have been checked out by urologist, normal enlarged prostate for this age. Prescribed, Tamsulosin for drip. The high frequency urination
only appears with the fatigue episodes. That's also when the blood pressure spikes.
The 10 minute interval urination lasts approx 4 or 5 events then gradually the time lapse between urination gradually increases and after approx 10 hours returns to normal. The blood pressure also gradually returns to normal They seem to act in tandem.

Brief Answer:
Antihypertensive medications should be started at the earliest

Hello Sir
I can certainly understand your concern and have worked through your attached query in detail.
These blood pressure fluctuations should be controlled with suitable antihypertensive medications.
Enlarged prostate is certainly not normal for the age. I can guide you thoroughly on this if you can upload the test reports of ultrasound abdomen scan.
Antihypertensive medications should be started at the earliest in consulatation with a Cardiologist.
Tamsulosin should be continued as usual. Antiandrogen medication like Finasteride/Dutasteride should be considered which can delay the growth of prostate, after consulting an urologist.
